Tono mai ki tētahi tūnga ki te Kaunihera o Ōtautahi As a Horticultural trainee you will undertake a three-year training programme which will set you up for a career in Horticulture. This is a great way to learn on the job and gain a qualification. The horticulture trainee position is designed to work alongside the Metropolitan parks Inner City staff gaining hands on experience whilst supporting you to gain essential skills and practical experience in amenity horticulture. With your hard work and dedication, you will finish with your national certificate in Horticulture (Level 4), ready for the next step as a horticulture professional. About the role | Ko te mahi nei In this role you can look forward to: Play an important role in keeping our Inner City spaces looking their best through hands-on work, including mowing, spraying, gardening, and general maintenance Build your skills and knowledge in the horticulture industry while working towards achieving your Level 3 & 4 qualifications Learn and apply health and safety standards, supported by experienced CCC staff and a strong safety culture About you | Ko Koe Tēnei We're looking for someone who: Has a passion or interest in horticulture Holds a full, current and valid New Zealand driver's licence Can provide two work-related referees Is willing to complete a police vetting check and physical medical assessment What's in it for you?
