This is an Agricultural Labor Program clearance order for temporary or seasonal agricultural workers.

Interested applicants should report to any State Workforce Agency (SWA) career center for help in contacting the employer. Referral by a career center provides program guarantees and protections that may not be available to a worker not referred. Workers must have valid identification for I-9 preparation when they report to the employer location to begin work. The employer may use the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services E-Verify Program to verify employment eligibility. C. Workers referred to this job by a SWA should report to a career center between 5 and 9 work days before the job start date to verify the job start date is the same. Failure to do so may disqualify the worker from the assurances of this Job Order. Worksites are located in Desoto, Manatee, and Hillsborough Counties . Housing is located in Arcadia, FL (Desoto County). D.
Job Offer:
Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time and may include all of the following job specifications: Committee Meeting/ Training
  • Worker will attend meeting for farm committee or farm training topic. Field Clean-up
  • Workers are required to walk fields and pick up plastic, string, plastic remaining on shover ends, & trash and place into container and place at designated areas. Irrigation & Removal
  • Connecting and installing irrigation (poly) lines at various points in fields for irrigation practices of crops. Repair leaks, Removal of irrigation (poly) lines and connections at end of crop season. This task will include shovel work as needed. Plastic Laying
  • Workers are required to load 75 to 80 lbs.
Rolls of plastic and drip tape rolls weighing approximately 50lbs on to machinery and ride on the back of machinery to ensure rolls are distributed evenly on beds of dirt. Worker is required to ride fertilizer wagon and use a shovel to make sure there is no clogging of fertilizer at distribution. Worker is required to remove casing when rolls of plastic and drip tape have emptied and repeat process. Plastic machine riders have other tasks required to lay plastic such as: bed pressing, clean out fertilizer hoppers, painting numbers and measuring row lengths. Workers are required to use a shovel to tuck in the ends of the plastic being laid by machinery at the ends of each row. Repairs are to be made to plastic and splices as necessary throughout field. Units covered will be divided by number of workers on the crew times the pay rate. Pull Plastic & Cut String
  • Worker is to pull plastic from row & drip tape and place at end of filed walkways. String cutting is also to be cut using a knife issued and remove and place at walkways at the end. Cutting String
  • Cutting string from plant bed or field, gathering string to the ends of the field or walkways. Planting (by hand no machine)
  • Loading and unloading of plant trays from plant delivery unit and unloading trays from planter back onto plant boxes.
Carrying plant trays and walking along plastic row ways and placing one plant into each hole made by plant machine and gathering soil around hole to fill in space around the plant. placing a plant in hold that was missed and also filling in. Removing plants at walkways. Placing empty trays back onto plant delivery unit. Planting (by hand riding a plant machine)
  • Loading and unloading of plant trays from plant delivery boxes to planting machine, unloading empty trays from planter back onto plant boxes.
Riding on plant machine and placing one plant into each hole made by plant machine and gathering soil to fill in space around the plant with soil using hand. Walking also behind planting machine placing a plant in hold that was missed and also filling in the hole with soil by using hand. Removing plants at walkways. Units covered will be divided by number of workers on the crew times the pay rate. Pruning
  • Worker will remove side shoot from tomato plant stem and place unwanted shoot in walkways. The amount, size, and quality is determined by Management. Removing Stakes
  • Worker removes stakes from ground and places into bundles, straps around bundles and tightens straps before placing on the fields. Loading Stakes
  • Worker removes stakes bundles, loading on field truck and unloading at designated area.
Pay:
Florida Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR)
  • $15.
00 per hour ¾ Guarantee is in effect.

Withholding:
Federal Income Tax, Social Security and Medicare, and any deductions agreed to by the worker in writing. Work rules will be found in the Clearance Order. E. Contract period is August 15, 2026 to June 14, 2027 .
Hours:
36 hours per week
Days/Hours:
Monday thru Saturday 6 hours per day . Work may be offered but not required on Sundays and holidays. Extra work hours may be offered based on weather and other conditions. F. Employer will refund workers living outside commuting distance the reasonable transportation and subsistence costs to report for the first day of work on the 50% date. Will provide workers who complete the contract period the reasonable cost of transportation and subsistence to return to place of recruitment or to report to the next H-2A job. G. Housing and Board.
Housing:
Will provide free housing for workers who arrive from outside daily commuting distance. Family housing is not available. Meals (Board): The employer will provide free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and free weekly transportation to the grocery store to workers living in all other employer-provided housing which will enable workers to prepare their own meals. Housing meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. Rules regarding living accommodations will be found in the Clearance Order. Transportation provided by the employer meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. H. Prohibition against preferential treatment of H-2A workers: The employer's job offer must offer to U.S. workers no less than the same benefits, wages, and working conditions that the employer is offering, intends to offer, or will provide to H-2A workers. Job offers may not impose on U.S. workers any restrictions or obligations that will not be imposed on the employer's H-2A workers. This does not relieve the employer from providing to H-2A workers at least the same level of minimum benefits, wages, and working conditions which must be offered to U.S. workers. I.
