Maintenance / Irrigation Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Irrigation Responsibilities Inspect, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain irrigation systems, including controllers, valves, pumps, sprinkler heads, drip systems, and timers Adjust irrigation schedules based on seasonal and weather conditions Identify and repair leaks, broken lines, and malfunctioning components Perform routine system checks to ensure efficient water usage and coverage Coordinate with vendors for specialized irrigation repairs when needed Maintain irrigation maps, schedules, and maintenance logs as required General Maintenance Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs for buildings, common areas, and amenities Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and report safety concerns Respond to maintenance requests and emergency calls as assigned Assist with property clean-up, pressure washing, and general upkeep Support turnover and special projects as needed Safety and Compliance Follow all company safety policies and procedures Use tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) properly Report hazards, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 1-2 years of experience in irrigation systems and/or property maintenance Working knowledge of irrigation controllers and sprinkler systems Ability to read work orders, schedules, and basic diagrams Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Preferred Irrigation certification (e.g., FIS, CIT, or equivalent) Experience in HOA, condominium, or multi-family residential communities Basic knowledge of pumps, backflow systems, and water management Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods Ability to use hand and power tools safely Work Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday On-call availability for emergencies as required Work Environment This position works both indoors and outdoors in residential community settings and may be exposed to weather conditions, noise, and mechanical equipment.
