  • Friday About the Role McBride Land Services is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our team in DeLand, FL.
In this role, you will handle everything from standard residential repairs to complex commercial system installations and reconfigurations. If you have a deep understanding of irrigation systems, a strong work ethic, and enjoy working directly with clients to solve their water management needs, we want to hear from you.
Core Responsibilities System Installation & Reconfiguration:
Plan and execute full irrigation system installations and reconfigurations for both residential and commercial properties.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose system failures, locate leaks, and perform efficient repairs on pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads.
Electrical Work:
Install, program, and wire timers, controllers, rain sensors, and other electrical components of irrigation systems.
Drainage Systems:
Install and maintain residential and commercial drainage systems to prevent water accumulation and property damage.
Project Dispatching:
Actively manage and dispatch repair projects, ensuring tools, materials, and schedules are aligned for efficient completion.
Client Relations:
Provide exceptional customer service by clearly explaining system issues, repair options, and operational instructions to clients.
Job Requirements Experience:
2-3 years of dedicated experience as an Irrigation Technician, with a proven track record in both installation and repair.
Technical Knowledge:
A well-rounded, comprehensive understanding of irrigation system components, hydraulics, and overall system operation.
Customer Service:
Strong public relations and communication skills to professionally interact with residential and commercial clients.
License & Record:
Must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean, insurable driving record.
Physical Ability:
Capability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions, perform physical labor, and lift up to 50 lbs.
