HORTICULTURAL SPECIALIST / GARDENER

The Horticulture Specialist is the hands and heart behind the Gardens living beauty. Kanapaha Botanical Gardens is currently looking for a full time employee for landscape management. This role is ideal for a plant-focused professional with expertise in botanical care and plant identification. Additionally holding a license to spray herbicides / pesticides is a bonus. Must have a good work ethic and be able to work outdoors for long periods in Florida's heat. Must have at least one years experience working in the industry. Must have two letters of recommendation or provide phone numbers for two past employers that can provide references. Must be able to pass a background check. Please include with your resume, letter of recommendation/references. $18.00 per hour. Health Insurance (50% employer contribution). This is a smoke free work environment.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday In addition, there are two weekend special events per year that staff works. Ability to fill in occasionally on the weekend to let weekend supervisor take the weekend off.

Experience:

1 year experience of professional landscape experience. Degree High School but college degree preferred

License:

Valid Driver License Must have a reliable source of transportation

Pay:

$18.00 per hour
