Ranch Hand/Laborer

Job Overview We are looking for a dynamic couple for Ranch Hand/Laborer, where you'll be at the heart of maintaining and enhancing our ranch operations. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a variety of tasks that keep our ranch running smoothly. You'll be responsible for supporting animal care, operating farm machinery, and assisting with general maintenance and repairs. This position is ideal for someone eager to contribute to a thriving agricultural environment while gaining hands-on experience across multiple facets of ranch work. Lodging is included . Duties Assist with animal husbandry duties, including feeding, watering, and handling livestock such as cattle, horses, and other farm animals Operate heavy equipment and farm machinery safely, including tractors, loaders, and irrigation systems Perform equipment repair and maintenance using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge Support crop growing activities such as planting, watering through irrigation systems, greenhouse work, and horticulture tasks Conduct routine inspections of fences, pens, and facilities to ensure safety and security Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving supplies, feed bags, or equipment to ensure efficient workflow Supervise or collaborate with team members on various projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to safety standards Qualifications Prior supervising experience or leadership roles in farm or ranch settings is a plus Mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance Strong animal husbandry skills with a focus on animal care and handling techniques Ability to operate forklifts, heavy machinery, and power tools safely and efficiently Experience working with horses or other large animals preferred (equine experience) Knowledge of farming practices including irrigation systems, horticulture, greenhouse management, and growing techniques Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or feeding schedules Physical ability for heavy lifting and long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions Familiarity with welding or equipment repair techniques is advantageous This energetic role invites motivated individuals ready to contribute their skills in a lively agricultural environment.
