Interested applicants should report to any State Workforce Agency (SWA) career center for help in contacting the employer. Referral by a career center provides program guarantees and protections that may not be available to a worker not referred. Workers must have valid identification for I-9 preparation when they report to the employer location to begin work. The employer may use the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services E-Verify Program to verify employment eligibility. C. Workers referred to this job by a SWA should report to a career center between 5 and 9 work days before the job start date to verify the job start date is the same. Failure to do so may disqualify the worker from the assurances of this Job Order. Worksites are located in Hillsborough and Manatee Counties. Housing is located in Wimauma, FL (Hillsborough County). D.
Job Offer:
The farm work position includes duties associated with the planting, cultivating, harvesting, distribution and packing of blueberries . This work can require standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds for long periods of time outdoors in all weather conditions. It also includes making important decisions based on size, coloring, and ripeness according to prescribed standards. This work requires adherence to important food safety and quality standard operating procedures and the ability to work quickly and consistently alongside fellow workers with a positive, professional, team-based attitude and a consideration for the safety and health of fellow workers and of the consumers who will purchase and consume the fresh produce grown, harvested, packed, and shipped from the farm.
Plastic and Drip Irrigation:
Workers will help install black plastic and drip irrigation on rows in the field being careful to cover all of the exposed edges of plastic cover with soil and being careful not to tear or punch holes in plastic. Workers may be asked to utilize implements associated with the installation of the plastic row covers incidental to performing required tasks on the ground.
Berry Planting:
Workers will plant berry plants in pre-punches holes on the plastic covered rows being careful to place the berry plants at the same depth in the soil as they grew in the nursery.
Berry Harvesting:
Workers will move down assigned rows picking all ripe berries, grading berries while harvesting, taking care to sort and pack containers by size, shape, color, quality, and quantity as directed. Each worker must pick the plants clean of all ripe fruit, sort, and pack all good berries into specified containers, within the box, according to high quality standards as set forth in the Company's food safety policy and standard operating procedures. Bad berries will be packed or disposed of as determined by the supervisor. Each worker shall handle berries carefully to avoid bruising. Bruising will weaken the berry. Each harvesting worker is expected to move with the crew from row to row and maintain the efficiently level. Upon completion of each box picked, the worker will take his/her packed box to the grading table to be viewed for grade and receive a new box with containers. Any containers that are over or under packed, or consist of poor-quality fruit, will be returned to the worker for repacking. Upon completion of assigned row, the worker will move to the next vacant row to be picked. Harvester may receive disciplinary notice if quality continues to be an issue. Depending on market demand, workers may also be required to pick berries in cups, clamshells and/or flats. Berries harvested specifically for sale at roadside stand as fresh market specialty basket containers must be field graded. For berries harvested for sale at roadside stands, extra care must be used to ensure that each strawberry is undamaged and perfect. All berries must be handled carefully to prevent bruising or fingernail cuts. Pickers will take extreme care not to damage the delicate berries. Quality and workmanship is of the utmost importance.
Pre and Post-Harvest Activities:
Pre-harvest activities for berries may include weeding, transplanting and frost protection. Workers may be required to perform other tasks maintenance activities in the berry operation. When harvest is completed, the workers will assist in removing the berry plants from the plastic and prepare for planting the next crop. In some instances, workers may be required to remove the plastic and drip irrigation tape from the row and load on the trucks for removal from field.
Pay:
Florida Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR) - $14.00 per hour ¾ Guarantee is in effect.

Withholding:
Federal Income Tax, Social Security and Medicare, and any deductions agreed to by the worker in writing. Work rules will be found in the Clearance Order. E. Contract period is June 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026 .
Hours:
36 hours per week
Days/Hours:
Monday through Saturday 6 hours per day . Work may be offered but not required on Sundays and holidays. Extra work hours may be offered based on weather and other conditions. F. Employer will refund workers living outside commuting distance the reasonable transportation and subsistence costs to report for the first day of work on the 50% date. Will provide workers who complete the contract period the reasonable cost of transportation and subsistence to return to place of recruitment or to report to the next H-2A job. G. Housing and Board.
Housing:
Will provide free housing for workers who arrive from outside daily commuting distance. Family housing is not available. Meals (Board): Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. No charge will be made for the provided beds, appliances, cooking utensils and similar items furnished to workers to whom housing is provided hereunder unless unlawfully removed or damaged beyond normal wear and tear. Employer will provide (on a voluntary basis) weekly transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries. If for any reason the kitchen facilities become unavailable due to fire or calamity, the employer will provide 3 meals per day for which a deduction shall be made until the kitchen facilities become operable. Housing meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. Rules regarding living accommodations will be found in the Clearance Order. Transportation provided by the employer meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. H. Prohibition against preferential treatment of aliens: The employer's job offer must offer to U.S. workers no less than the same benefits, wages, and working conditions that the employer is offering, intends to offer, or will provide to H-2A workers. Job offers may not impose on U.S. workers any restrictions or obligations that will not be imposed on the employer's H-2A workers. This does not relieve the employer from providing to H-2A workers at least the same level of minimum benefits, wages, and working conditions which must be offered to U.S. workers. I.
