Base Salary + Housing Allowance if Exempt Position Summary The Stable Team Member is responsible for the daily care, maintenance, and overall well-being of up-to 50 horses and the respective stable environment. This role ensures a clean, safe, and organized facility while supporting feeding routines, grooming, and general barn operations. The position requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong comfort level working around horses. Key Responsibilities- Deliver consistent daily care for horses, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health and behavior
- Clean and maintain stalls, aisles, tack rooms, and all common stable areas to a high standard
- Safely turn horses out to and bring them in from paddocks
- Assist with grooming, tacking, and untacking as needed
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper storage of tack and equipment
- Monitor for and promptly report any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes
- Support farrier and veterinary visits, ensuring horses are prepared and handled appropriately
- Follow all safety protocols and established stable procedures at all times
- Assist with overall facility upkeep, including basic maintenance and grounds work
- Clean and maintain paddocks and pastures as needed
- Perform minor repairs, including fencing, mowing, and general property maintenance
- It may also help to include compensation, housing (if applicable), schedule, start date, and the approximate number of horses to clarify workload. Qualifications
- Prior experience working with horses preferred, but not required
- Basic understanding of horse care and stable operations
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills Work Environment

- Exposure to dust, hay, and animal-related conditions
- Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
