In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution across various outdoor spaces. Your expertise will help promote healthy lawns, vibrant landscapes, and efficient water usage. Duties Install new irrigation systems using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and excavation equipment such as excavators. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on existing irrigation infrastructure to prevent leaks and ensure proper operation. Troubleshoot and repair irrigation components including valves, controllers, pipes, and sprinkler heads with precision. Adjust watering schedules and system settings to meet seasonal needs and landscape requirements. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into overall landscape plans. Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement for irrigation components based on horticultural and landscaping needs. Maintain detailed records of system repairs, installations, and inspections for ongoing monitoring and reporting. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to irrigation systems, plumbing, and land grading techniques. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators. Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance, and horticulture principles. Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively in outdoor environments. Familiarity with landscaping design concepts to optimize water efficiency and landscape health. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex irrigation issues quickly. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and providing clear instructions or updates.
