Dry / Cure Technician

Position Description:

A Cannabis Dry/Cure Technician is responsible for managing the post-harvest process, ensuring that cannabis plants are properly dried, cured, and prepared for processing or sale. This role involves monitoring environmental conditions (temperature and humidity) in drying rooms, bucking, trimming, and using METRC for tracking. The position requires strict compliance with state regulations and company SOPs to maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Drying and Curing:

Hanging, moving, and rotating plant material to ensure proper, uniform moisture content.

Environmental Monitoring:

Monitoring temperature, humidity, and airflow in dry/cure rooms to optimize flavor and prevent mold/mildew.

Processing and Trimming:

Performing hand or machine bucking and trimming of dried cannabis buds.

Inventory Tracking:

Using METRC to log, track, and update inventory, including weight checks and batch data.

Quality Control:

Inspecting for quality, identifying pathogens, and ensuring product meets company standards.

Sanitation:

Cleaning and sanitizing tools, containers, and work areas to GMP standards.

Requirements Experience:

Previous cannabis post-harvest, cultivation, or trimming experience is often preferred.

Technical Skills:

Working knowledge of METRC and basic inventory tracking.

Physical Ability:

Must be able to stand for long periods, work with hands, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Compliance:

Ability to pass a background check and work in a heavily regulated environment.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Must be 21 years of age.
