Job Description

About the Role We are seeking individuals who like working with their hands and enjoy being outdoors. In this role, you will handle all aspects of what it takes to grow beautiful plants out in the field until they are ready to be shipped to our customers. What You'll Do You'll work for a leader in the industry in all areas of the nursery growing operation.
This may include:
pruning plants using shears or automated pruning equipment applying fertilizer on plants lifting and moving plants of various sizes so that they are spaced appropriately. weeding and consolidating plants assembling orders so that you are selecting only consistent quality plants, placing a tag on them correcting and loading them on field trailers and wagons for transport to the shipping dock. You'll learn from our experienced craftsmen. You'll learn what a high-quality plant means to Monrovia. Who You Are Ideally, you'll have experience working in agriculture. You are open to feedback. You enjoy working in a team environment and being supportive of co-workers. You can work in inclement weather conditions, i.e. hot, cold, and rainy. You are open to working extended hours: 7 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday during the off-season and 7 am - 12 pm on Saturdays during the peak but starting hours may vary based on business need. You can lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly or 50+ pounds on occasion, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, pull and push, and lift over your shoulders, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
