Irrigation Craftsmen

We are seeking detailed individuals, who like working with their hands and enjoy being outdoors to join our irrigation team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all our plants are irrigated properly so that they may continue to grow to our high-quality standards. What You'll Do You'll follow the irrigation schedule to ensure plants are properly watered, will set up the irrigation timing via the computer, and will operate the irrigation systems as necessary. You'll drive throughout the nursery to ensure all irrigation systems are operating properly and will repair equipment and irrigation lines when broken. You'll be responsible for keeping up on fertilizer batch plant and chlorine injection systems and will clean the pump station screens. You'll assist with security at night. Who You Are You possess basic reading, writing, and math skills. You are punctual and have a willingness to learn new skills and jobs. You are safety-oriented, detailed, and can follow verbal and written instructions. You enjoy working in a team environment and being supportive of co-workers. You have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record as per company guidelines. You can work in inclement weather conditions, i.e. hot, cold, and rainy. You can walk through uneven, unpaved surfaces over long distances for up to 10 hours per day. You can lift up to 65 pounds on occasion and up to 40 pounds repeatedly. You can stand, bend, squat, reach, pull push, and lift over your shoulders, with or without a reasonable accommodation. You are open to working extended hours on a rotating schedule: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Friday-Thursday and can work additional hours or a different schedule based on business needs.
