Job Description

Job Title:
Aquaculture Technician (Black Tiger Prawn Farm) Reports to:
Lead/Senior Aquaculture Technicians Position Status:
Technician Moana Technologies LLC (MTLLC), located at the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii (NELHA) in Kailua-Kona, is dedicated to the selective breeding and genetic improvement of Penaeus monodon (black tiger shrimp).
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform animal care duties on the different aspects of the operation. Can work independently with minimal supervision or on a team setting, once trained. Follow company biosecurity protocols and safety procedures Maintenance of farm equipment: cages, tanks, PVC pipes, and minor repairs. Perform duties outside of usual setting due to lean season. May include yard work, cleaning, and general maintenance of the facilities. Perform other farm duties as needed or directed by the Lead/Senior Aquaculture Technician and or supervisor You will also be asked to Adhere to a company non-disclosure and assignment agreement.
Working conditions:
Warm, hot, humid and wet environment when working inside building or outdoors. Job will also include various activities that change throughout the course of the year. Be mindful that some months are slow but some months are very busy; working 7 days a week for several weeks may be required.

$42,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
