Job Description

Join our team for outdoor employment in a picturesque Hawaiian environment surrounded by beautiful plant life! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nursery Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in landscaping & nursery work, irrigation, and horticulture.
Daily Responsibilities:
Pull and Prepare plants for Deliveries Repotting plants, Fertilizing, Weeding, Cleaning, Quality Control Propagating new plants via seed, cutting, or air layer Maintaining existing inventory with proper pruning techniques Identifying Pests (weeds/bugs) and working with IPM to keep them under control Work closely with team members to execute larger scale projects Using hand/power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks Irrigation work (installation, repairs, troubleshooting) Operating & upkeeping heavy machinery
Position Requirements:
Some past experience/demonstrate proficiency with the responsibilities listed above Past experience in the Landscaping or Nursery field Ability to Identify and care for common Tropical landscaping plants Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Mechanical knowledge related to small power tools Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions Valid drivers license with your own transportation to work, able to work at two separate nursery locations Proficient Communicator (English) Some prior Machinery experience (Skidsteer/Bobcat/ mini Excavator/ Backhoe) Ability to Drive larger trucks for Deliveries (20' flatbed &/or Box Truck) Hawaii Island residents only If you are interested, please supply a resume and a list of professional references.
Benefits:
Nice outdoor working environment. Full time, 40 hrs a week, Weekends off, 6 Paid Holidays & 2 weeks Paid Vacation after 1 year with the company. Full Health and Dental insurance.
