The employee spends most of the time in the field working with another technician or by themselves. The employee in this role will primarily focus on troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems. Benefits On-the-job training provided Opportunities for advancement Support for getting your backflow certification 90-day retention bonus for employees in good standing 8 paid holidays and a generous PTO package Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance 401(k) with Company match after 1 year of employment Employee Assistance Program Uniforms and equipment provided Day-to-Day Stuff Perform troubleshooting and repairs on irrigation systems Complete daily paperwork Manage and track job material Ensure quality control according to route schedule and company standards Communicate effectively with the client, manager, crew leader, and site workers Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards Perform just-in-time, light maintenance on equipment, as needed in the field Proper use of personal protective equipment Record daily hours worked Meet deadlines and follow instructions and expectations expressed by manager Assist in other departments as needed Perform snow removal, ice treatment and salting during winter season Characteristics Needed to Succeed Valid driver's license and ability to be added onto company's auto insurance policy High school diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of irrigation maintenance experience Backflow certification preferred or attained within 90 days of hire Knowledge and experience with irrigation equipment and tools Knowledge of occupational safety hazards and necessary safety precautions and regulations Ability to understand and follow verbal or written instructions Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team Ability to work outside regular business hours as needed Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
