Evening chores- Part time

We are seeking dedicated individual(s) for the position of Evening Chores. This position can also be combined with the Morning Chore position. Responsibilities Feed Pigs, Chickens, Cows, Cat Collect Eggs Open/close Greenhouses Move Cows to new pasture Move irrigation pipe Water all animals Water greenhouse plants Milk our family cow (starting in August) Skills Required Ability to follow instructions. We have high standards for how our animals are cared for. There is zero room for compromise in regards to their health and needs Timely Ability to complete tasks efficiently Good communication skills A positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks Ability to work outside in all types of weather Ability to lift 40 pounds repeatedly Attention to detail Ability to observe animals and notice things out of the ordinary. Kindness to animals required English Schedule Monday-Friday 6 pm- 9pm All chores must be done before shift ends. If it takes longer to complete because something went wrong...the job must get done. Chores will start May 1st. Although in May it will not take a full 3 hours when we start. By mid-end August it will take a full 3 hours, each shift. If at anytime employee would like more hours, working with our field crew is an option. This job requires a commitment of working May 1st-October 31. There is potential for employment beyond our growing season. We can accommodate some vacation times. Bonus We will give you a bonus $.50 for every hour worked during the time period agreed upon.

Example:

if you agree to work from May 1st-October 31st, and you complete that time frame, you will receive an extra $.50 for every hour worked. If you leave earlier then we agreed upon at the beginning of the season you will lose your eligibility for the bonus. You will get a half share of the vegetable harvest every week from early June-early October. This Position is ideal for an individual who wants to learn how to care for livestock organically. Past experience is not necessary, but is very helpful. Ideal candidate will be eager to learn.

Compensation :

$16.00/hour. One half share of vegetables.

Bonus :

We will give you a bonus $.50 for every hour worked during the time period agreed upon.
