In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution across various outdoor spaces. Your expertise will help promote healthy lawns, vibrant landscapes, and efficient water use. Responsibilities Install new irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators when necessary. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on existing irrigation infrastructure to prevent malfunctions and optimize performance. Troubleshoot and repair irrigation components including valves, controllers, pipes, sprinklers, and pumps with precision and care. Adjust watering schedules based on weather conditions, seasonal changes, and landscape needs to promote healthy growth. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into overall landscape design and upkeep. Maintain detailed records of system installations, repairs, inspections, and parts used for accurate reporting. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations while demonstrating mechanical knowledge. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex irrigation systems. Experience working with lawn care, landscaping, horticulture, and general landscape maintenance practices. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators for installation or repairs. Knowledge of irrigation systems including controllers, valves, piping, sprinklers, and pumps. Ability to operate landscaping machinery safely and efficiently in outdoor environments. Familiarity with the use of land surveying or layout tools is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
