We are currently seeking motivated and dependable Probe Shack / Weigh Operators for a 2-month seasonal contract opportunity in Fairmont City, IL. This position supports one of our clients, a global leader in sourcing, processing, and supplying oilseed and grain products and ingredients. The Probe Shack / Weigh Operator plays a critical role in ensuring incoming and outgoing grain loads are accurately sampled, graded, weighed, and documented while maintaining safety, efficiency, and quality standards throughout facility operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate probe equipment to collect grain samples from incoming trucks Perform grain grading according to established quality specifications Accurately weigh inbound and outbound trucks using scale systems Enter load information into company systems and maintain accurate records Communicate clearly with truck drivers regarding procedures, grading results, and instructions Direct traffic flow efficiently to minimize wait times and maintain operational efficiency Identify and report quality, operational, or safety concerns Maintain cleanliness and organization of the probe shack and scale area Follow all company safety programs, policies, and procedures Support general facility operations and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required Previous experience in grain handling, agriculture, logistics, or industrial operations preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer and data entry skills Strong verbal communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently with minimal supervision Willingness to work extended hours including weekends during peak harvest periods Strong commitment to workplace safety Ability to stand, sit, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and climb stairs safely around industrial equipment Comfortable working in a grain elevator or agricultural facility environment with exposure to grain dust, noise, and moving equipment TKO Staffing LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
