Love the outdoors? Join our farm for a unique, hands on agricultural experience growing enormous pumpkins (over 1000 pounds). We are seeking interns and volunteers interested in learning the art and science of cultivating competition size pumpkins. Participants will work directly alongside Farmer Paul, who brings more than 30 years of growing experience. While most store bought pumpkins weigh just 5 to 20 pounds, our Long Grove giants regularly reach hundreds of pounds, with last year's winning pumpkin weighing an impressive 1,027 lbs. This opportunity is ideal for anyone interested in horticulture, agriculture, sustainable growing practices, or gaining real world experience outdoors. Play an active role throughout the growing season while learning practical growing techniques from an experienced cultivator.
