Job Description

Farm Equipment OperatorJob Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Farm Equipment Operator to join our agricultural team. The Farm Equipment Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing farm machinery used in planting, cultivating, fertilizing, spraying, and harvesting crops. The ideal candidate will have experience operating modern agricultural equipment, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and productivity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate a variety of agricultural equipment including tractors, combines, sprayers, planters, tillage equipment, grain carts, and other farm machinery. Perform field operations such as planting, cultivating, fertilizing, spraying, irrigation, and harvesting. Conduct daily inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment. Diagnose and perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments as needed. Load, unload, and transport crops, seed, fertilizer, chemicals, and farm supplies. Monitor equipment performance and report major maintenance issues. Follow precision agriculture technologies, GPS guidance systems, and field mapping tools when applicable. Maintain accurate records of field activities, equipment maintenance, and crop inputs. Assist with grain handling, storage operations, and inventory management. Follow all company safety procedures and agricultural regulations. Support general farm operations and assist with additional duties during peak seasons. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Previous experience operating agricultural equipment. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license. Ability to work extended hours during planting and harvest seasons. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Preferred CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Experience with GPS-guided equipment and precision agriculture technology. Knowledge of crop production, fertilizer application, and chemical handling. Experience operating combines, sprayers, and large-scale farming equipment. Skills and Abilities Safe operation of farm machinery. Equipment maintenance and repair. Mechanical troubleshooting. Time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Working Conditions Outdoor work in various weather conditions including heat, cold, dust, and rain. Seasonal overtime and weekend work required during planting and harvest. Exposure to agricultural chemicals, machinery, and livestock environments may occur. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on experience. Overtime opportunities during peak seasons. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
