Job Description

Grain Operations Laborer Pay Rate:
$18.00/hour
Schedule:
Monday-Sunday, 6:45 AM - 8:00
PM Overtime & Weekends:
Mandatory Travel:
Required to travel to all 12 sites; personal transportation is mandatory
Position Overview:
We are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals for a physically demanding labor position in grain operations. This role requires long hours, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in all weather conditions and challenging environments.
Work Requirements:
Standard hours are 6:45 AM to 6:00 PM , but hours will vary based on workload and site needs Must be willing and able to work mandatory overtime , including evenings, weekends, and holidays During peak season, must be available to work 6 to 7 days a week , up to 14-hour days and 80+ hour weeks Must be willing to travel to all 12 company sites; own transportation is required Must maintain perfect attendance — zero tolerance for absenteeism or tardiness Must be willing to work in a very physical, dirty environment , including cleaning out grain bins Must be able to work at heights , in confined spaces , and in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with the loading, unloading, transferring, and storage of grain Visually monitor grain and identify irregularities or quality issues Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of grain storage areas, including: Grain bins Flat storage Ground piles Dump pits Tunnels Head houses Facility grounds and perimeter Follow all safety policies, procedures, and communication protocols when operating equipment Learn all grain storage locations and their capacity specifications Accurately measure, record, and report grain levels and condition Operate grain conveyance equipment and understand the associated safety systems
Maintenance Responsibilities:
Inspect and monitor equipment daily; perform routine maintenance as required Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on all operational equipment and facilities Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair logs Update and manage equipment lists , including vendor and specification information
Safety & Compliance:
Comply with all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols Maintain accurate records and complete all documentation as required Follow all assigned duties responsibly and report any safety concerns immediately Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Agricultural or grain-handling experience preferred Physically able to: Bend, stoop, shovel, pound with a hammer Open and close heavy valves Work in confined spaces and at elevated heights Tolerate heat, cold, dust, and long hours
