Corn Detasseling and Roguing - The worker will walk down the rows between the plants in the corn fields, and worker must be able to walk multiple miles per day. Job is outdoors and continues in all types of weather. Must be able to work long hours in direct sunlight, where weather conditions may be hot and humid. Rain is possible and worker will be exposed to pollen the entire day while performing he job duties. The majority of the workday is spent on one's feet and outdoors. Hours and days of work may vary due to weather conditions. Must be able to lift 70lbs. to shoulder height repetitively throughout the workday and able to lift and carry 70lbs. in field. Workers may be required to submit to random drug tests at the discretion of the employer. Drug testing and background checks may be performed during the interview process. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination. All physical requirements will take place in an outdoor environment exposed to the elements for extended periods of time.
