Job Description

We are: VOLO, an Ag-tech drone spraying service company starting in Indiana, but our vision is to be trusted across the US, by providing the highest level of integrity, quality, efficiency and service. We believe business is about more than money: it's about loving,blessing people on the journey, and helping each other grow wiser and emotionally mature in the process. Our primary advisor is one of the founders of ROGO, a robotic soil sampling Ag-tech company that started from zero and is now across the US with 30+ rigs.
What we do:
During late summer, we transport autonomous spray drones to customer fields, then operate it to apply chemicals to optimize crop health for that farmer, then move to the next field. What you get to do (the Job): Operate drone spraying rig consisting of large flatbed truck, flight deck skid and drone Drive large flatbed truck to field locations Load and unload drone between fields Operate agricultural drones to apply fungicides accurately and efficiently and SAFELY Manage and maintain chemicals and equipment Conduct efficient pit stops to reload drone batteries and chemicals Swap drone batteries (30lbs) and manage chargers for minimal downtown Refilling drone chemical tank with electric pump Follow FAA Part 107 regulations and Indiana State Chemist requirements We are looking for someone with the following values Humble to learn from mistakes and receive coaching, Tough to navigate ambiguity and difficulty,

Hard Worker:
Not scared of working long hours You should be able to ( Skills/Requirements): Use a phone, apps, and technology easily Communicate well and be detail oriented Get along with others Valid state drivers license & transportation to pickup location (CDL not required) Work on upper flight deck (~10 feet off of ground) and use a ladder
  • Not afraid of heights MUST Pass following exams and obtain a license.
Not required for application. Due June 5, 2026 FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot Certification, Indiana Pesticide Applicator Core , Indiana Category 11 Aerial Applicator License Equipment experience, Ag experience Working Location, Environment and Timing Training middle of June Estimated season : June 15-July 1st Estimated season : 4-6 weeks.
Estimated Season :
Mid to Late August If enrolled in college, last day of work will be 2 working days prior to start of semester
Workdays:
Mon-Sat as weather allows, so 5-6 days/wk
Hours:
12-15 hours per day; expect 65+ hours per week Home on Sundays Hotels overnight when needed, doubling up in double-bed hotel rooms if in same area as another pilot Compensation Base of $25 with $0
