Job Description

About This Role The lead irrigation technician exists to provide grounds maintenance support for the campus with emphasis on irrigation and to manage (lead) other irrigation tech(s). About Us The role of the Landscape Services is to provide a safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing exterior environment for the students, faculty and staff of K-State. The department is responsible for the maintenance and installation of over 250 acres of turf grass, shrubs, trees and annual flower beds on campus. Worksite Description This position is On-site . All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho. What You'll Need to
Succeed Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and four years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Skill in use and operations of tools, machines and equipment commonly used in plumbing and electrical work at the skilled craft level. Eighteen months experience in performing irrigation work and institution grounds experience. Familiarity with campus operations, landscaping design, and contractor coordination.
