Job Description
Service Technician Job Description This position is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. Applicants must have a valid Kentucky driver's license. Service work experience in irrigation or related fields that would use similar equipment is required. The successful candidate will need to possess the following skills: 1) The ability to communicate consistently with clients to help service their irrigation systems in a timely manner. Ongoing communication is a major factor in maintaining good relations with clients. We take this skill very seriously. 2) The ability to work independently. Solving problems, accurate scheduling of appointments, processing paperwork, and providing clients with consistent feedback, are all essential skills. 3) Teamwork. At Bluegrass Irrigation we foster a team effort. While working independently is important, the ability to work together with clients, fellow employees and others is just as essential. 4) Experience. A working knowledge of the technical aspects in order to service, maintain and improve residential and commercial lawn sprinkler systems is required. 5) Outdoor work ability. The physical ability to do work under sometimes demanding weather conditions and work situations is necessary. 6) Possessing backflow preventer certification for required testing on sprinkler systems, while not required, is desirable.
