Job Description

The Country Club of Louisiana Property Owners Association is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Horticulturist / Landscape Maintenance Team Member to assist with the care, design, and upkeep of the community's flower beds, landscaped areas, and common grounds. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about plants, takes pride in outdoor work, and is eager to continue growing professionally in the horticulture and landscape field. Responsibilities include:
Maintaining flower beds, shrubs, trees, and landscaped areas throughout the community Performing routine shrub pruning, trimming, planting, mulching, weeding, fertilizing, and general bed maintenance Assisting with seasonal flower bed design, plant selection, and installation Identifying plants, flowers, weeds, pests, and common landscape issues Supporting proper fertilization, irrigation, and watering practices Helping maintain clean, attractive, and well-kept common areas Performing general maintenance and cleanup duties as needed, including debris removal, equipment cleanup, and grounds support Monitoring landscaped areas and reporting irrigation issues, plant health concerns, or maintenance needs Working with the maintenance team to support the overall appearance and upkeep of the community Experience and qualifications: Knowledge of native plants, ornamental shrubs, flowers, and landscape materials Experience with plant and flower identification Understanding of fertilization practices, irrigation systems, identifying plant diseases, watering needs, and basic plant health Experience with shrub pruning, flower bed maintenance, and landscape installation preferred Ability to work outdoors in Louisiana weather conditions Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work Willingness to learn, take direction, and expand professionally Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team
Pay:
$16.00 - $21.00 per hour
