• 8am•4:30pm•Monday•Friday The Cultivation Technician position is an entry level position that will aid the Mello Farms team throughout all stages of growth including propagation, vegetative stage, flowering stage, harvest, and post-harvest.

This role will report directly to the Cultivation Manager The hours of this position are 8:00am

• 4:30pm.

Monday-Friday.

Major areas of responsibility include:

Cloning Transplanting Pruning Defoliating Low stress training Trellising Inspecting for pests and pathogens Identifying toxicities and deficiencies Cleaning and sterilizing all equipment used in the cultivation process as well as the greenhouses and general storage areas.

General and Physical Requirements:

Per MA state regulations, qualified candidates must be at least 21 years of age, qualified to work in the US. Ability to pass a background check may disqualify candidates based on MA state marijuana licensing regulations. Must be able to obtain a MA state-issued Registered Agent Card Must be able to work in hot, humid conditions Must meet the physical constraints of the job. This role is labor intensive. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 75 pounds (125 pounds with assistance), may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Moderate to loud exposure to noise level will be experienced.

Education/Required Knowledge and Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent required Basic math and science skills Must be able to work in a safety conscious environment Strong focus and attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong work ethic, confidentiality, and sound judgement Willingness to learn and be a confident member of a team Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time (i.e., trimming plants, potting, and regular inventory). Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere with all departments and co-workers.
