Job Description
Orchard & Equipment Technician The Orchard & Equipment Technician supports orchard production, spray operations, and farm infrastructure while helping maintain and repair farm equipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring tractors, implements, and tools remain in working condition throughout the season. This position works under the guidance of the Farm Production Manager and supports the broader farm production team. Core ResponsibilitiesOrchard & Crop Production Prune apple trees and perform orchard maintenance (December-March) Execute the orchard spray program from early spring through late summer Assist with vegetable and small fruit production Support seasonal orchard tasks including thinning, harvest preparation, and field maintenance Equipment & Mechanic Responsibilities Assist in maintaining tractors, implements, and small engines Perform basic preventative maintenance including: Oil changes Greasing equipment Belt and filter replacements Tire checks Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report larger repairs Help organize and maintain the farm shop and tool inventory Assist in building and maintaining a preventative equipment maintenance programSupport equipment preparation for key seasonal needs (spray program, mowing, harvest) Farm Maintenance & Infrastructure Assist in general farm maintenance projects Support irrigation setup and repair as needed Assist with fencing, building repairs, and infrastructure improvements Help maintain safe and organized work areas around the farm Team Support Assist the farm crew as needed during peak periods Communicate regularly with the Farm Production Manager regarding equipment needs, repairs, and field priorities Support overall farm operations during festivals and harvest periods when needed Schedule November

- Schedule varies depending on spray program and seasonal farm needs

$23.00- $25.
