This role involves a wide range of activities around the farm including harvesting, packaging, cleaning, organizing, and general day-to-day farm work. There are also opportunities to help run our farmers market stands, interact with customers, and become part of our local food community. No prior mushroom farming experience is required, although it is definitely welcomed. We are looking for someone hardworking, reliable, positive, and willing to learn. This is a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of how a working mushroom farm operates while growing alongside a small family-run business. Applicants should be comfortable with physical work, have reliable transportation, and must be available for some mornings and weekends. If you are interested in local food, farming, mushrooms, community, or learning a unique trade, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Harvesting and packaging mushrooms Cleaning and maintaining grow spaces and work areas Organizing inventory, supplies, and storage areas Assisting with farmers markets and customer interaction Loading and unloading deliveries and supplies Helping move and manage mushroom fruiting blocks Assisting with basic farm maintenance and daily operations Supporting order preparation and fulfillment Learning and assisting with different aspects of mushroom cultivation as needed Requirements Reliable transportation Ability to perform physical work and lift moderate to heavy weight Ability to work some mornings and weekends Positive attitude and willingness to learn Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team Skills or experience that are a plus: Farming, gardening, landscaping, or greenhouse experience Experience working in kitchens, food production, or farmers markets Customer service or sales experience Experience driving delivery vehicles or handling deliveries Basic mechanical, construction, or handyman skills Experience with social media, photography, or marketing Interest in mushrooms, organic farming, or local food systems Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment This is a unique opportunity to become part of a growing local farm and learn a wide range of valuable skills along the way.
