Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Bog Technician to join our Cranberry Operations Team. In this role, you will participate in the cultivation, maintenance, and harvest of cranberry crops while supporting the daily operations of our bogs. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, develop specialized agricultural skills, operate a variety of equipment, and contribute to one of the nation's leading cranberry-growing operations. We are looking for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in maintaining high standards, and are committed to safety and teamwork. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Monitor cranberry vines and growing conditions. Assist with the planting, renovation, and maintenance of cranberry beds. Support integrated pest management and pesticide application activities in accordance with regulations and company standards. Assist with water management, irrigation, and frost protection activities. Operate tractors, pumps, sprayers, harvest equipment, and other agricultural machinery. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tools, vehicles, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Assist with harvest preparation and participate in all aspects of cranberry harvest operations. Support fruit collection, transportation, and storage activities. Follow established work procedures, schedules, and operational priorities to support efficient cranberry production. Maintain accurate records related to field activities, equipment use, and crop management. Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and operating procedures. Participate in training programs and continuous learning opportunities. Perform general bog maintenance and other agricultural duties as assigned. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following: Ability to work safely and effectively in an outdoor environment under varying weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement. Agricultural experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. Physical Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding work, including walking on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions. Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
