About the
Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cultivation Technician to join our cannabis cultivation team. In this role, you will be hands-on in every stage of the plant lifecycle—from seed to harvest. The ideal candidate has a passion for cannabis, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong commitment to compliance, cleanliness, and plant health. Key Responsibilities Plant Care & Lifecycle Management Daily Maintenance:
Water, feed, fertilize, flush, prune, defoliate, train, trellis, and safely dispose of green waste. Propagation & Transplanting:
Take cuttings for clones, propagate seeds, manage mother plants, and up-pot seedlings or clones into larger containers. Harvesting & Post-Harvest:
Defoliate, cut down, and harvest mature plants. Manage hanging, drying, bucking, curing, trimming, grinding, freezing, and storing of plant material. Cross-Departmental Support:
Assist the Director of Cultivation and support other departments as needed, including Post-Production, Pre-Roll, Packaging, Labeling, Trimming, and Extraction. Health, Environment & Pest Management Integrated Pest Management (IPM): Scout for pests, diseases, and pathogens. Apply authorized treatments and implement IPM strategies (e.g., sticky traps, inoculating mediums) to ensure optimal plant health. Environmental Monitoring:
Monitor temperature, humidity, light, and air circulation to ensure they remain within optimal specs. Check HVAC systems and modify settings to meet target set points. Cleaning & Sanitization:
Maintain a spotless work environment by cleaning and sanitizing grow rooms, tools, pots, tables, and equipment (trays, fans, drippers) to prevent contamination. Compliance, Inventory & Record Keeping Strict Compliance & PPE:
Strictly adhere to all CCC and state regulations. Wear mandatory PPE at all times, including gloves, hair/beard nets, grow room shoes, eye protection, scrubs, respirators, masks, and Tyvek suits. Metrc & Documentation:
Maintain highly accurate, real-time documentation for all plant activities (seeds, cloning, transplants, harvesting, waste). Tag plants and remain 100% compliant with METRC regulations. Inventory & Logistics:
Safely move plants, supplies, and equipment between rooms. Assist with inventory counts and utilize tracking software efficiently (Dutchie, Metrc, Outlaw). Qualifications & Physical Requirements Physical Stamina:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift, push, or pull up to 50-75 lbs for extended periods. Working Environment:
Must be comfortable working for long hours in hot, humid, and intensely bright grow room conditions. Attention to Detail:
High precision required for tracking plant metrics, following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and identifying subtle changes in plant health. Schedule Flexibility:
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as the cultivation schedule demands. Licensing & Background Check:
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and obtain a state-required Cannabis Agent ID. Join us in cultivating excellence!
