Job Description

We are a family-owned turf management business based near Easton, Maryland, seeking a motivated, hardworking individual to serve as a fertilizer and pesticide applicator. Pay will be based on level of experience. You must have your own transportation to and from work, a clean driving record, a positive attitude, and be friendly and considerate to our clients. You will need to be able to lift at least 50lbs. A team-player mindset is crucical.
Hours :
7am-4pm Monday-Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Turf Maintenance Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as needed. Conduct seeding and overseeding Soil & Turf Health Monitoring Test soil to assess nutrient levels and pH balance. Monitor for turf diseases, pest infestations, or weed issues. Identify and diagnose turf stress from environmental or mechanical causes. Equipment Operation & Maintenance Operate turf management equipment such as aerators, sprayers, and tractors. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on turf equipment. Calibrate and safely handle chemical application equipment. Record Keeping & Reporting Document pesticide and fertilizer applications in compliance with regulations using ServiceAutopilot (training will be provided) Maintain records of maintenance schedules, inspections, and field conditions. Report turf issues or equipment failures to supervisor. Safety & Environmental Compliance Follow safety protocols for chemical handling and machinery use. Comply with local and federal environmental and pesticide regulations.
Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge of turfgrass species and their care requirements. Familiarity with IPM (Integrated Pest Management) practices. Ability to identify turf diseases, weeds, and pests. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Physical stamina and willingness to work in various weather conditions. A pesticide applicator license is definitely a plus A DOT card (or the ability to get one) is a must. Experience in all the aforementioned areas is a plus, but on-the-job training will be provided. :
