Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Grower to join our dynamic agricultural team. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating healthy, vibrant plants and ensuring optimal growth conditions across various growing environments. Your expertise will help produce high-quality crops, support sustainable farming practices, and contribute to the overall success of our horticultural operations. Responsibilities Prepare soil beds, containers, and greenhouse environments for planting using hand tools and mechanical equipment. Monitor plant health regularly by identifying pests, diseases, and nutritional deficiencies through plant identification skills. Implement irrigation systems accurately to ensure proper watering schedules and conserve water resources. Maintain and operate gardening equipment, including lawn care tools, mechanical devices, and other hand tools. Assist with planting, pruning, transplanting, harvesting, and general crop maintenance activities. Manage outdoor work areas by keeping them clean, organized, and safe for team members and visitors. Support sustainable farming practices by applying horticultural knowledge and adhering to environmental guidelines. Requirements Prior experience in growing plants or working within horticulture or agriculture settings. Knowledge of irrigation systems, greenhouse management, lawn care, farming techniques, landscaping, and gardening. Mechanical knowledge related to operating hand tools and small machinery safely and effectively. Ability to identify different plant species and diagnose common plant health issues. Basic math skills for measuring soil amendments, spacing plants accurately, and recording data. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor labor in various weather conditions.
