Cannabis Cultivation Technician

Job Description The Cultivation Technician is responsible for supporting all aspects of the plant lifecycle within a controlled indoor cannabis grow environment in Harrison Township, MI . This role is highly hands-on and production-focused, involving plant care, harvesting, and facility maintenance. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, labor-intensive setting and be adaptable to changing priorities.

Schedule / Pay

Monday-Friday 8am-8pm Starting at $18/hr Responsibilities Fill pots and prepare materials for transplant at the start of plant growth cycles Transplant vegetative plants into larger containers as needed Transfer plants from vegetative stages to flowering rooms Prune, de-leaf, train, and trellis plants according to production schedules Monitor plant health and report any issues related to pests, disease, or equipment Harvest plants, including de-leafing and hanging product for drying Reset flower rooms post-harvest within tight turnaround timelines Maintain cleanliness of grow and facility areas (sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, waste removal) Support additional tasks as assigned; demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn Requirements Must be 21 or older Professional cannabis experience highly preferred Prior experience in gardening, farming, or cannabis cultivation preferred Ability to perform physically demanding, labor-intensive work Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs independently Comfortable working in environments with elevated temperatures (~80°F), bright lighting, and moderate to loud noise levels Able to stand for extended periods, walk frequently, and use ladders as needed Strong work ethic with reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing production needs Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team Willingness to receive feedback and maintain quality and production standards Must wear required PPE including scrubs, masks, gloves, and safety gear The United Green is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
