Greenhouse Worker/Farm Hand

About us Blue Mitten Farms is a nine year old hydroponic farm located in Okemos Michigan. We specialize in year round NFT hydroponic lettuce and microgreens. We also have seasonal outdoor plots growing peppers, tomatoes, squash, zucchini and more. Our larger goals include the rehabilitation of the unused hoop houses and continued expansion of the 28-acre property. We sell our produce throughout the state via large distributors, direct to local accounts, to area schools in partnership with the '10 Cents a Meal' state program, through Market Wagon online home delivery service, in partnership with other local farms and at our roadside farm stand.

You will assist us with daily greenhouse tasks and seasonal outdoor gardening. Focusing on, but not limited to, the harvesting and packing of orders, cleaning, assembly and planting of hydroponic systems, seeding of lettuce and microgreens and general day-to-day checks and balances.
