Job Description
Farm Crew Member We are seeking highly motivated and responsible individuals with applicable experience who will work closely with the General Managers and other crew members on the wide-ranging tasks typical of an organic apple orchard and cider mill environment. The Farm Crew Member will be involved in all aspects of farm operations and grounds maintenance.
Including but not limited to:
- Plantings (trees, cover crop, asparagus, etc.)
- Harvest (apples, asparagus and hay)
- General Grounds Maintenance and Field Activity (mowing, weeding, pruning, spraying, painting, cleaning, general repairs)
- General Record Keeping/Field Activity Logging (daily calendar, field activity log)
Job Qualifications:
- Farming experience. (Preferred but not required.)
- Mechanical knowledge. (Preferred but not required.)
- Experience running various machinery. (Tractor, Fork Lift, Mowers) [Preferred but not required. Will train.]
- Follow directions and have a positive can-do attitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be reliable, punctual and have a sense of urgency.
- Attention to detail with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift 40lbs consistently.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. (Required.)
