Duties Care for plants by watering, pruning, fertilizing, and maintaining healthy growth to ensure high-quality stock Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, and landscape materials based on their needs and preferences Provide expert advice on landscape maintenance, plant care and gardening techniques Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately handling cash transactions and processing payments efficiently Restock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the nursery is clean, organized, and visually appealing Skills Strong knowledge of horticulture practices including plant knowledge and plant care Excellent communication skills to educate customers and promote products confidently Retail math proficiency for accurate cash handling, pricing, and inventory management Experience with POS systems and cash register operations in a retail setting Ability to perform stocking, merchandising, and organizational tasks efficiently Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and problem-solving skills This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in gardening while delivering exceptional service.
