100 farmworkers are needed in St. Joseph, LaGrange, Branch, and Calhoun Counties, Michigan, to perform corn detasseling and roguing. Duties include removing tassels and off-type plants from corn fields, as well as general field and farm building cleanup. Workers may also drive employer-provided vehicles to and from worksites and between locations. The job requires at least 1 month of verifiable experience in commercial field labor or hand harvest, along with references from the past 3 years. Work is performed outdoors and requires the ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive physical tasks. Employer will provide training and all necessary tools. Earned Sick Time Requirement:

In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business. The employer provides housing at no cost to workers who cannot reasonably return to their residence at the end of the workday. Separate sleeping quarters and bathroom facilities are designated for male and female workers; family housing is not available.
