Job Duties:
Pollinating corn and removing rogue plants, weeds and volunteer corn plants from the nursery field. Worker must be able to walk the duration of the day while performing the specified job. Must be able to work long hours, at least 6 hours a day in all kinds of weather, hot or cold weather, rain and muddy conditions, and will be exposed to pollen the whole day and be in possession of the requisite strength and endurance, working skillfully with their hands. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination. Job will require exposure to extreme temperatures. Temperatures may range from 30-100F. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive walking or sitting is required. Frequent stooping or bending over is required. Repetitive movements are required. Workers should be able to work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES
Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 04/07/2026). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
