Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions in irrigation components and resolve issues promptly. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions with overall lawn care and horticultural practices. Adjust watering schedules based on seasonal requirements, weather conditions, and specific plant needs to optimize water efficiency. Use mechanical skills to troubleshoot system failures and perform necessary repairs or replacements of valves, pipes, timers, and sprinkler heads. Assist in landscape projects by operating construction equipment safely and efficiently during installation or upgrades. Maintain detailed records of system modifications, repairs performed, and scheduled maintenance activities. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working with irrigation systems, power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment. Strong understanding of landscaping principles including lawn care, horticulture, and general landscape maintenance. Familiarity with irrigation design principles and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to operate construction machinery safely and effectively. Knowledge of landscaping materials and best practices for sustainable water management. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system diagnostics and repairs. Prior experience in horticulture or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
