Employees will help with planting crops on the farm, harvesting on the farm, & general work on the farm. This includes help with livestock, machinery, grain elevators, equipment, and more. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc, attach/detach implements, be able to handle working in high humidity, clean work areas, load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities, load and unload materials and commodities, load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment, tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops, use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crow bars, air tools, and electric tools, weigh containers and record weights and identifying information. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, grain carts, forklift, manure spreading equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, semi trucks, silage choppers, skid steers, sprayers, spreaders, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. Must speak and understand English.
One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate driver's license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
Employer guarantees to offer employment for a minimum of 3/4 of the workdays of the total specified period beginning with the workers first day, free housing provided to workers recruited from beyond the commuting area, transportation and subsistence expenses to the worksite will be provided or paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract or earlier.
