Duties may include: Plant, harvest, and pick produce. Remove plastic in strawberries. Make strawberry beds laying plastic, plant strawberries, pick. Pick weed blackberries, train and pick grapes, pick and prune peaches, pick apples, tie apples, make cider, pick tomatoes and prune tomatoes and peppers. Pick and weed pumpkins. Wash, sort produce. May load produce on truck. Maintain clean work areas, & other related Farmworker activities as per
SOC/OES 45-2092
(onetonline.org). 30-minute meal break.
Crops:
strawberries, cherries, blackberries, peaches, apples, grapes, tomatoes, pumpkins Possible weekend/holiday work.
Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Variable weather conditions may apply. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer. Employees are expected to keep employer-provided vehicles clean and free of trash. Workers may not post or remove notices, signs, or other instructions from the employers bulletin boards or the employers property without specific authorization from the employer. Only workers may live in employer-provided housing unless other arrangements have been made with the employer. Employer may conduct housing inspections to make sure housing upkeep is abiding by state, local, and federal guidelines. Guests are allowed after work hours but must leave by 10:00pm.
Employer guarantees to offer employment for a minimum of 3/4 of the workdays of the total specified period beginning with the workers first day, free housing provided to workers recruited from beyond the commuting area, transportation and subsistence expenses to the worksite will be provided or paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract or earlier.
