Duties Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems using a variety of power tools and hand tools to ensure efficient water distribution across landscapes. Conduct regular inspections of irrigation equipment to identify issues such as leaks or clogs, performing timely repairs or adjustments. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions seamlessly into overall lawn care and landscaping projects. Operate construction equipment like excavators when necessary for major system installations or repairs. Assist in landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, pruning, and soil preparation to support healthy growth. Troubleshoot mechanical problems within irrigation systems and recommend improvements for water efficiency and system longevity. Maintain detailed records of system installations, repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance and operational excellence. Qualifications Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience working with irrigation systems, power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment such as excavators. Strong understanding of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, and general landscaping principles. Knowledge of horticulture fundamentals to support healthy plant growth through proper irrigation practices. Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints related to irrigation layouts and landscape design. Hands-on experience in construction or outdoor maintenance environments is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting mechanical issues. Valid driver's license; certifications in landscaping or horticulture are a plus but not required.
