Referral by a career center provides program guarantees and protections that may not be available to a worker not referred. Manual Sod Harvester Operator/Installer:
Operate manual sod harvesting equipment with forklift attached to manual harvester without electronic scales. Operate forklift to load and unload pallets of turf and other farm materials. Load and unload sod and other farm materials by hand. May operate and perform minor maintenance and repairs to irrigation system. Operate mowers. Plant, water, spray, and weed sod. Prepare soil and growth medium, haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, lime and other soil conditions on sod grass and turf areas. Digs, rakes, screens soil. Fill tanks with water. Cut, roll and stack sod by hand. May roll out sod produced on the farm or sprinkle sprigs of sod produced on the sod farm for installation at remote customer sites. May operate and perform minor maintenance and repairs on farm vehicles, implements and equipment. May repair fences, sheds, and other farm buildings and structures. Perform farm, field and shed sanitation duties. Mow grass and operate trimmer around farm buildings. Direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal help during planting and harvesting. Operate farm vehicles to haul crops and drive other farmworkers from place to place around the farm properties (including on public roads to reach farmer's fields) during the workday. Though not a hiring requirement, if a worker drives a company vehicle during the period of employment then at the time of operating the company vehicle the driver must possess a valid driver's license issued by a U.S. state or foreign equivalent and operate the company vehicle in accordance with the license restrictions and vehicle classifications applicable to that license. Withholding:
Federal Income Tax, Social Security and Medicare, and any deductions agreed to by the worker in writing. Work rules will be found in the Clearance Order. E. Contract period is March 08, 2026 to November 20, 2026.
Hours:
45 hours per week
Days/Hours:
Monday thru Friday 8 hours per day & Saturday 5 hours . Work may be offered but not required on Sundays and holidays. Extra work hours may be offered based on weather and other conditions. F. Employer will refund workers living outside commuting distance the reasonable transportation and subsistence costs to report for the first day of work on the 50% date. Will provide workers who complete the contract period the reasonable cost of transportation and subsistence to return to place of recruitment or to report to the next H-2A job. G.

See ETA 790 . Meals (Board): See ETA 790 . Housing meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. Rules regarding living accommodations will be found in the Clearance Order. Transportation provided by the employer meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. H. Prohibition against preferential treatment of aliens: The employer's job offer must offer to U.S. workers no less than the same benefits, wages, and working conditions that the employer is offering, intends to offer, or will provide to H-2A workers. Job offers may not impose on U.S. workers any restrictions or obligations that will not be imposed on the employer's H-2A workers. This does not relieve the employer from providing to H-2A workers at least the same level of minimum benefits, wages, and working conditions which must be offered to U.S. workers. I.
