Irrigation Takeoff Specialist

Essential Job Functions
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from project drawings, specifications, and bid documents for irrigation construction projects.
Quantify irrigation materials including pipe by size and type, sprinkler heads, valves, fittings, sleeves, wire, controllers, and miscellaneous irrigation appurtenances.
Measure and calculate linear footage and counts, square footage, and volumetric quantities accurately from irrigation plans.
Review project plans, specifications, and addenda to identify inconsistencies, missing information, or scope gaps that may impact estimating or project execution.
Prepare organized and clearly documented takeoff summaries for use by estimators and project teams. Utilize Bluebeam, AgTek, and other estimating software to efficiently perform digital takeoffs and quantity analysis.
Cross-reference takeoffs with plan notes, schedules, legends, and project details to ensure complete and accurate quantity development.
Coordinate with estimators, project managers, and field operations personnel to clarify scope assumptions and validate takeoff quantities when needed.
Maintain consistent takeoff procedures, documentation standards, and file organization for future reference and awarded project turnover.
Support revisions to quantities resulting from plan updates, addenda, or project scope changes.
Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Maintain the confidentiality of Company and employee information.

Strong understanding of irrigation systems, components, and construction methods.
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze construction drawings, technical plans, and specifications.
Ability to become proficient in Bluebeam, AgTek, Microsoft Office Suite, and related estimating or takeoff software.
Strong mathematical aptitude with the ability to calculate measurements, quantities, and material requirements accurately. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to identify discrepancies and communicate scope concerns clearly and professionally.
Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple deadlines, and perform work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with estimating, operations, and field teams.
Maintain confidentiality of bid information, project pricing support documents, and company estimating practices.
Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft products.
Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the position.

Regular and timely attendance is required during all scheduled workdays and hours.
Education and Experience
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Irrigation Technology, Landscape Construction, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
Golf course irrigation construction experience strongly preferred.
Field installation knowledge and practical understanding of irrigation construction sequencing highly valued.
Experience utilizing digital takeoff or estimating software preferred.
Salary - DOE. Benefits can include free golf at certain course locations, PTO and 401K.
Position - 8:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday), full-time
