Responsibilities Assist with harvesting activities, ensuring crops are collected efficiently and carefully to prevent damage. Operate hand tools and basic mechanical equipment to clean, trim, and prepare produce for storage or shipment. Conduct quality checks by identifying plant health issues, pests, or defects through plant identification skills. Manage post-harvest processes such as sorting, grading, and packaging according to established standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including greenhouses, outdoor fields, or storage facilities. Support irrigation systems and monitor water usage to optimize crop hydration during post-harvest handling. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when moving crates or bulk produce, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Requirements Growing experience or hands-on horticulture knowledge preferred; familiarity with greenhouse or outdoor farming environments is a plus. Basic understanding of irrigation systems, land management, and gardening practices. Mechanical knowledge related to hand tools and simple machinery used in post-harvest activities. Ability to identify different plant species and recognize signs of pests or disease. Strong physical stamina for outdoor work including heavy lifting and extended periods on your feet. Basic math skills for measuring quantities and recording data accurately. Willingness to work in various weather conditions and support team efforts in a fast-paced environment.
