You'll work hands-on with the machine, basic tools, and our farm team to keep the packing process moving smoothly. We're looking for someone reliable, careful, and willing to learn. A little mechanical understanding is helpful, but the main goal is to help us pack mushrooms safely, efficiently, and with care so they can get to families and communities in need. Duties Operate and monitor mushroom packing machine to ensure optimal performance and product quality Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of packing equipment, including troubleshooting and minor repairs Assist with loading, unloading, and heavy lifting of mushroom crates 30-50 pounds Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area to meet safety and hygiene standards Be willing to learn basic repairs using hand tools Ensure proper handling of mushrooms during packing to prevent damage and waste Desired Skills Experience in agricultural or manufacturing settings preferred Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, equipment repair, welding, and maintenance (not required but helpful) Familiarity with mushroom farming, greenhouse management, or growing experience is a plus Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and inventory management Good organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining records and safety protocols This position is paid and open to contractors committed to supporting our farm's growth.
