Job Description

The Fertigation Technician works in conjunction with the Cultivation Manager and supervisors to oversee and implement all irrigation and fertigation activities across cultivation. Fertigation Technicians may also be required to work in the garden with Cultivation Technicians and perform similar duties as needed. Why work for Justice? Because people matter here. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Diagnosing plants nutritional needsAdheres to cultivation schedule set by the Cultivation ManagerMonitor soil moisture content of the crop and obtain water samples for testingCheck and balance EC & PH of stock tanks according to company standard operation proceduresConducts day-to-day plant hand wateringWork closely with grow team to ensure the irrigation/fertigation plan is properly implemented and maintainedMaintain sanitation standards in the cultivation/grow roomsPerforms regular calibration of nutrient testing instrumentsClean and sanitize nutrient tanks, pumps, filters as neededResponsible for measuring and mixing nutrients and plant applications and applying these mixtures according to Justice Grown policyDevelops proficiency and follows safety practices with the operation of equipment, fertigation systems, environmental controls, water distribution systems, which includes performing preventative maintenance tasks; troubleshooting malfunctions; assisting with repairs.

Comply with company and product label safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Able to work variable shifts to meet business requirementsPerforms other related duties as assigned Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in cannabis industry is desirable, but not requiredAbility to prioritize safety practices and follow standard operating proceduresAbility to take direction and complete daily tasks with minimal supervisionConduct oneself in a professional mannerCommunicate fluently in English (verbal and written)Ability to maintain product accurately and efficientlyAbility to communicate with other staff and associates in all situationsAbility to adhere to the highest customer service with staff and the public at all timesAbility to perceive and meet the needs of team members and managementAbility to maintain high standards in a fast paced, constantly evolving environmentPunctual, professional, and able to communicate clearly with your managers and other staffKnowledgeable on strains, genetics, and cultivation practicesRepetitive use of fine motor skills using scissorsHigh level of efficiency, patience, and flexibilityMust meet requirements for state affiliationThe ability to identify cannabis varieties using visual and olfactory senses is highly desirable EOE Justice Cannabis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
