Harvest Assistant - Cannabis Cultivation Job Summary A Harvest Assistant supports the cultivation and processing team in the processing of cannabis plants during harvest cycles. This role involves plant handling, breaking down, drying preparation, sanitation, and maintaining compliance with company and state regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced agricultural environment. Responsibilities Assist with harvesting cannabis plants according to company procedures Remove fan leaves, break down plants, and separate plant material for processing Hang plants and prepare drying rooms during harvest cycles Weigh, label, and track harvested product accurately Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment Follow compliance, safety, and inventory protocols at all times Identify and report signs of mold, pests, or plant damage Support packaging and post-harvest operations as needed Work efficiently to meet daily harvest and production goals Handle cannabis products carefully to preserve quality and potency Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous agricultural, warehouse, or cannabis experience is a plus Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in humid environments Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must meet all state requirements for employment in the cannabis industry Skills Time management Team collaboration Quality control awareness Sanitation and compliance practices Inventory tracking basics Work Environment Fast-paced Exposure to strong cannabis odors and plant allergens Requires use of gloves, protective gear, and sanitation procedures May involve weekend or extended-hour shifts Preferred Traits Reliable and punctual Quick learner Positive attitude Respectful of compliance and confidentiality Passion for cannabis cultivation and production Focused and determined We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
