RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Clone/Propagation Department Following company SOPs, successfully propagate hundreds of cannabis plants weekly by cutting, planting and rooting clones with the purpose of supplying our vegetative departments with healthy starter plants. Work closely with the Genetic Stock (mother room) lead, following specific strain schedules and meeting clone quotas per week. Focus on sanitation of scissors, clone trays and other tools Follow SOP steps on clone planting, irrigation, humidity dome removal and light intensity. Keep rooting success data per batch. Assist Inventory team with proper organization and labeling of clone batches. Observe and record environmental and light intensity data and understand the influence of these factors on rooting rate and plant health. Maintain a clean workspace. Must participate in routine safety training including hazard awareness and proper use of PPE. - Vegetative Department Assist the veg lead in successfully providing the flower department with adequate plant counts at their optimal health and size on a weekly basis. Keep schedule of incoming and outgoing plant transfers and their appropriate plant counts. Organize plant groups based on age and which flower room they are assigned to. Weekly transplanting clones into rockwool and small veg plants into coco substrates. Follow pruning schedule resulting in bushy, multibranched plant structure. Mix fertilizer recipes and adjust to appropriate EC and pH readings for daily irrigation. Operating drip system controller and hand watering as required. Use tools to monitor rootzone for proper saturation and nutrient levels. Observe and record temperature, humidity, CO2 and light intensity data (complete paperwork and adjust controls to match guideline parameters). Scout for pests and communicate status with IPM lead Assist Inventory team by keeping plant group organization and proper labeling. Maintain clean work space Participate and pass routine safety training regarding hazard awareness and proper use of PPE. - Flower Department Work with team lead to accomplish weekly and daily tasks involved in the plant reproductive stage (flowering stage). Become familiar with cannabis life cycle and tasks associated with specific growth stages. Pruning branches and removing leaves. Adding trellis net, spacing out branches, training direction of plant growth for a uniform and full canopy. Scouting plants for pests and signs of hermaphroditism. Communicate observations with IPM team. Communicate with irrigation team about plant health and irrigation equipment status. Observe and record data pertaining to environmental parameters and light intensity. Understand the influence of these factors on plant health and growth. Participate in weekly harvests and help chop, prepare and hang branches for the Dry department. Deep clean and sanitize grow rooms after each harvest. Transfer new vegetative plants into flower rooms after deep clean is complete. Take part in daily clean up throughout the cultivation facility. Participate and pass routine safety training regarding hazard awareness and proper use of PPE. Assist other departments as needed - Irrigation Department Mix fertilizer formulas at proper ratios, following a provided guideline mixing chart for concentrate tanks as well as nutrient batch tanks. Send irrigation shots to flower rooms via pressurized drip system, using a programmable irrigation controller and following the provided watering schedule. Water plants with hand wand when necessary. Stay up to date on the various plant life stages and drinking rates per zone throughout the facility. Follow appropriate irrigation schedule according to stage of plant life and drinking rates Collect irrigation data including volume of runoff and rootzone EC, adjust irrigation approach based on this data. Maintain clean and safe irrigation stations (tanks, floors, pumps, tools). Avoid overflowing tanks or tanks running dry. Work with Facilities Maintenance team to maintain proper functioning plumbing components including reverse osmosis filtration systems, pumps, drippers, tubing, etc.. Check irrigation drippers in each plant zone daily to ensure all plants are getting their scheduled nutrient shots. Communicate with flower team lead on plant health or observations of dry plants. Must participate and pass routine safety training including hazard awareness and proper use of
PPE. QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 21+ years of age and pass a criminal background check. Must work well in a team setting with great communication skills. 1 to 2 years of landscaping, nursery or similar work experience preferred.
WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Throughout extended periods must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday. Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds. (With proper safety training) Possible exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables. •The above requirements describe the general nature and level of work only.
